Mac + MacBook User: Summer 2026

Curious about what AI can actually do on a Mac—or where to begin? The Summer 2026 issue of Mac + MacBook User takes a practical, tutorial-led approach, introducing several major AI tools and showing how they can be used for everyday tasks, creative experiments, and finding information.

Explore ChatGPT, Gemini, and Copilot

Rather than focusing on a single platform, this issue tours ChatGPT, Google Gemini, and Microsoft Copilot. The contents include getting started, understanding key controls, asking questions, and using each assistant for specific activities. That side-by-side breadth can help readers get a sense of the different tools before deciding which ones suit their routines.

Put AI to work on everyday tasks

ChatGPT tutorials cover writing, image creation and editing, translation, budgeting, shopping research, and asking for explanations. Gemini coverage includes factual enquiries, image uploads, image generation, and features in Google Docs, Sheets, Gmail, and other Workspace tools. Copilot chapters look at writing assistance, image creation, questions, files, podcasts, and help with a PC or app.

See what Apple Intelligence offers

A dedicated section turns to Apple Intelligence, with topics including Siri, Visual Intelligence, Live Translation on Mac and iPhone, Genmoji, Image Playground, and Writing Tools. For Apple-device owners, this provides a guided introduction to the features gathered under Apple’s AI umbrella.

Approachable, illustrated guidance

The issue presents its subject through plain-language explanations and step-by-step tutorials. It is suited to Mac and MacBook users who want a broad, accessible orientation to AI tools, including readers who also use phones, Windows PCs, or Google services. Start with the platform you already use, then explore the other guides as your questions grow. 💡
