Welcome to the Digital Delights Author Program. These Author Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“Author”, “Creator”, “Vendor”) and Digital Delights. By registering as an Author and uploading digital content to our platform, you agree to comply with and be bound by these terms.
1. Account Setup & Eligibility
To become an Author, you must create a vendor account and provide accurate, current, and complete information, including a valid payment method for receiving payouts. You must be at least 18 years of age or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction to sell on our platform. Digital Delights reserves the right to approve or reject any Author application at our sole discretion.
You retain all ownership rights to your original content. By uploading your digital products (eBooks, software, design files, etc.) to Digital Delights, you do not transfer your copyright to us. Instead, you grant Digital Delights a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, promote, and sell your digital files to our customers on your behalf.
3. Content Guidelines & Restrictions
As an Author, you are strictly responsible for the files you upload. You warrant and represent that:
- You are the sole creator and copyright owner of the uploaded file, or you have explicit, documented legal permission/commercial licenses to resell the content.
- Your content does not infringe upon the trademarks, copyrights, or intellectual property rights of any third party.
- Your content does not contain malicious code, viruses, malware, or destructive scripts.
- Your content does not contain illegal, extremely graphic, or highly offensive material.
Any violation of these guidelines will result in immediate account termination, forfeiture of pending payouts, and potential legal action. Digital Delights strictly enforces the DMCA and acts swiftly on copyright infringement claims.
4. Pricing, Revenue Share, & Payouts
Digital Delights operates on a revenue-share model.
- Pricing: Authors have the right to set the retail price for their own products, provided it meets our minimum pricing threshold.
- Commission Rate: Digital Delights retains a platform fee/commission on each successful sale to cover hosting, payment gateway fees, and marketing. Your specific commission split will be displayed in your Author Dashboard.
- Payouts: Author earnings are calculated monthly. Payouts are issued to your designated PayPal or bank account on our standard payout schedule (e.g., the 15th of the following month), provided your balance meets the minimum payout threshold.
- Refunds & Chargebacks: If a customer is granted a refund (in accordance with our Refund Policy) or issues a chargeback for your product, that sale amount will be deducted from your pending earnings.
5. Platform Exclusivity
Unless a specific exclusive agreement is signed with Digital Delights, this agreement is non-exclusive. You are free to sell your digital products on your own website or other marketplaces concurrently.
6. Support Obligations
While Digital Delights handles general platform billing and download issues, you (the Author) are responsible for ensuring your product works as advertised. If a customer has a specific technical question regarding the contents of your file or software, you are expected to provide reasonable support via the channels provided in your product description.
7. Account Termination & Product Removal
You may close your Author account or remove specific products from the Digital Delights marketplace at any time. However, any customer who previously purchased your file will retain lifetime access to download it from their account dashboard. Digital Delights reserves the right to suspend or terminate any Author account at any time for violating these terms, engaging in fraudulent activity, or uploading low-quality content.
