At Digital Delights, a portion of our digital library includes software, WordPress themes, and plugins. It is important to understand the legal framework under which these specific items are distributed.
Any third-party software, themes, or plugins available on this website are distributed under the GNU General Public License (GPL) or a similar open-source license.
1. What is the GPL?
The GNU General Public License is a widely used free software license that guarantees end-users the freedom to run, study, share, and modify the software. Because WordPress itself is licensed under the GPL, any derivative works (like themes and plugins) that interact directly with the WordPress core are automatically bound by the same GPL license.
This means that once we have legally purchased or acquired the item from the original author, we are entirely within our legal rights to redistribute it to you.
Because these files are GPL, you do not need a license key to use them. The files we provide are fully functional. The “license keys” sold by the original developers are strictly used to provide two things: Automatic Updates and Premium Technical Support directly from them.
If a plugin on your dashboard asks for a license key to activate, you can safely ignore the prompt. The software will still work exactly as intended.
3. Manual Updates
Because we do not provide license keys, you will not receive automatic updates via your WordPress dashboard. Instead, when the original author releases a new version, we update the file in our library. You can simply log in to your Digital Delights account, download the latest version, and upload it to your site manually.
4. Technical Support Limitations
We are a third-party redistribution marketplace, not the original authors of these software products. Therefore:
- We do provide support for billing, account access, and ensuring the file you downloaded is intact and uncorrupted.
- We do not provide technical support for software installation, server configuration, debugging, or troubleshooting plugin conflicts on your specific website.
If you require premium, ongoing technical assistance or automatic updates, we highly recommend purchasing a license directly from the original developer to support their hard work.
5. Safe, Unmodified Files
We guarantee that every software file downloaded from Digital Delights is exactly as it was provided by the original developer. We do not modify the core code, nor do we add any malware, ads, or malicious scripts. You are receiving the pure, open-source file.
6. Trademark Notice
All third-party product names, logos, company names, and brands mentioned on Digital Delights are the property of their respective owners. Their use does not imply any affiliation with or endorsement by them. These terms are used strictly for identification purposes.
