Photoshop User – Spring 2026

A Photoshop Magazine Built for Hands-On Creatives

This Spring 2026 issue of Photoshop User is a 90-page digital magazine aimed at artists, designers, and photo editors who want to do more than click through menus. It gathers practical, project-led tutorials that show how Photoshop tools work together in a finished image. The emphasis is on learning by building — from selections and masks to blend modes and atmosphere — so each technique has a visible purpose. 🎨

Horror Art Composition: From Grey Screen to Cinematic Scene

The issue’s featured walkthrough, Horror Art Composition, starts with a figure shot against a grey screen and turns that raw material into a moody, movie-poster-style scene. Step by step, the tutorial demonstrates how to combine the subject with a street background, refine the selection with the Quick Selection Tool, and use layer masks to reveal the new environment. Later stages bring in fog, zombies, and a bike, then use an Overlay blend mode and a Levels adjustment to deepen contrast and drama. It’s a clear look at how compositing decisions stack up to create a believable image. 💻

Who This Issue Is For

If you already know your way around Photoshop and want to sharpen your compositing skills, this issue offers a focused project that rewards careful attention. Beginners may also find the walkthrough accessible, especially if they follow along with the referenced asset files mentioned in the tutorial. The material assumes some familiarity with Photoshop’s interface, but the methodical pacing makes each stage understandable. 📷

Why It Stands Out

Many Photoshop tutorials stop at isolated techniques. This issue shows how those techniques serve a single creative goal. By following one compositing project from start to finish, readers can see how masking, blending, and adjustment layers interact — and how small choices about light, fog, and color affect the final mood. The result is a practical issue that feels like a workshop in digital image-making. ✨
