PC Pro – Issue 367, April 2025

PC Pro Issue 367: April 2025 💻

For readers who want practical technology coverage without the hype, PC Pro Issue 367 delivers a packed April 2025 edition. The magazine blends hands-on reviews, buying advice and deep-dive features across PC hardware, software, AI, Linux and networking. This is the 367th issue of a UK title that has been helping readers make sense of personal computing for decades.

Graphics Power Under the Spotlight ⚙️

The issue opens with Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 50-series, headlined by full reviews of the RTX 5080 and RTX 5090. PC Pro also puts three RTX 5080-based desktop PCs through their paces, making this a useful read for anyone weighing up a high-end graphics upgrade or a complete new system. The coverage goes beyond raw benchmark numbers, looking at how software, AI features and real-world use shape the experience.

AI, Software and the Microsoft 365 Question

Microsoft 365’s AI-enhanced features come under scrutiny, including what Copilot can and cannot do in Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. With subscription costs rising, the magazine asks whether the AI additions justify the price. There is also a masterclass in Affinity Photo, showing how to get professional-style image editing results without committing to a subscription, plus an explainer on PCI Express and why it remains such an important part of modern PCs.

Linux Steps Up as Windows 10 Nears the End

A major Labs feature examines eight Linux distributions ready to replace Windows 10 as support ends. The round-up covers beginner-friendly options and more advanced choices, with practical guidance on installation, usability and day-to-day computing. It is a helpful starting point for anyone considering a switch rather than buying new hardware.

Hands-On Reviews and Buying Advice

Beyond graphics cards, the reviews section covers laptops and convertibles, smartphones, tablets, a mini PC, a Wi-Fi 7 router and a handheld PC. Cloud file-sharing services are also compared for businesses that need secure, straightforward collaboration. Each review is written to help readers understand not just what a product does, but whether it is the right fit.

Regular Voices and Practical Insight

Columns and reader letters add context and opinion throughout the issue, covering topics from broadband infrastructure and AI efficiency to storage, hardware repairs and the changing software landscape. The mix of news analysis, opinion and hands-on testing gives the magazine a broad view of where personal technology is heading.
