Why do we use the more costly etching process for frosted protectors?
Sandblasting process: tiny quartz sand particles are sprayed on the transparent glass by specific means to produce a matte finish effect.
Etching process: the surface of transparent glass is etched with specific chemical reagents to produce a matte finish effect.
The disadvantage of the sandblasting process is that it is difficult to achieve high quality and uniform spraying, and the quartz sand attached to the surface is more easily dislodged by external friction. Therefore, the frosted tempered glass may have the following two disadvantages:
1) the surface is excessively rough causing a serious loss of screen clarity and wear of the Apple pen tip;
2) the glass surface has almost no matte finish effect, resulting in the anti-fingerprint not lasting, or even failing to achieve the anti-glare and anti-fingerprint effect.
On the contrary, the etching process is a chemical reagent corrosion process, so the product quality is more stable. The matte surface effect of its glass surface is moderate, which can maintain good clarity and also achieve the effect of anti-glare and anti-fingerprint, and can reduce the wear and tear of the Apple pencil.
Important:
It’s a mild matte finish. Although it doesn’t have quite the same drawing-on-paper-feel as matte plastic protectors, the matte glass is much better than glossy glass. Most importantly it doesn’t get scratched as quickly as a plastic protector and severely degrades the display quality.
The real 2.5D is the one with no dust on the edge——Check if the screen protector you bought is a real 2.5 arc edge?

I had a “paper-like” screen protector for my iPad. The texture was indeed like paper, and it allowed for easy drawing with my Bluetooh pencil. However, the material bubbled easily and collected hazy residue very quickly. I’ve been using a Mothca matte screen protector on my phone for several months which I didn’t like at first but became indispensable. So I decided to try the Mothca screen protector for my iPad. The appearance and feel of the surface are unparalleled. Installation is simple and easy (just difficult to avoid dust depending on the installation environment). The protector can make the screen look slightly blurry, but I’ve gotten used to very quickly. Plus the anti-glare properties outweigh the minor blurring for me. My Bluetooth pencil is not as sensitive on the Mothca screen protector but still functional. Overall I’m very pleased with this protector and I recommend it. If you have a stand to secure your device vertically while installing the screen protector, it might help avoid dust settling on the screen during installation.

Exactly as ordered,
I made the mistake of ordering a matte screen protector from someone else who sent me glossy twice! Never again! I have Mothca matte protectors on my iPhones, love them! So I went to Mothca for a matte protector for my iPad. It came quickly for my area, was just exactly what I ordered and was very easy to install with the plastic positioning frame. There are a few bubbles in the after photo I posted, but as I write this, most have already worked themselves out. The feel is silky smooth, enhancing the touch and swipe experience. I highly recommend Mothca now and especially the matte finish.Exquisite!2024.04.24 AppendAll bubbles are now gone, the screen looks like a perfect fit! Beautiful and clear, looks and feels fantastic!

Such an easy to instal and Nice screen protector
My only complaint is that it is not a two pack. That’s only because I cannot stand bubbles on my devices and I usually mess up the first one. This one however was easy to put on, hasn’t pulled up in the corners even after lifting to remove some bubbles. Wonderful anti-glare while not being that horrible paper protectors that eat up my pencil tips. Nice and smooth surface so browsing on the internet and using reading apps doesn’t feel scratchy on my fingers like some of the paper ones do.I recommend this to anyone looking for anti-glare but not paper feel!

Can’t see anything + hard to install
I anticipated that this would be hard to install. Fine, most screen protectors are. I didn’t anticipate that the matte overlay would distort the image on the iPad. The icons and writing are now kinda blurry to me – I tried to use it, but I couldn’t stand it and removed the screen protector within a day.

Durable, Smooth, and Easy Install
Bought these for mine and my daughterâs IPADs. We like to play games on iPad so we wanted something that would allow us to play without our fingers getting stuck while gliding through the screen. These work very well and you dont leave smudge marks on the screen.Installation was awesome because it comes with a guide you place on the iPad and you donât have to guess if the screen protector is centered or not.So far has worked great and has protected the screen from scratches and falls.

Decent screen protector, great support!
This screen protector cuts glare and provides a nice matte finish. Installation did not go well the first time, but the company made good on their promises and sent a replacement right away.To avoid the issues I had, a couple of actions will help. First, make sure you are in a relatively dust-free setting. Second, use the guide stickers located above the dust removal sticker on the same sheet.There are no instructions for this in the package. Place the screen exactly where you want it, matte side up and with the back protective film still in place. Then place the guide stickers, see the attached photo. I was able to install the protector with the iPadâs case in place. Your mileage may vary…Make sure the stickers are well stuck. Then flip the protector back, lift the protective film using the tab and carefully flip the protector in place getting rid of bubbles per the manufacturerâs instructions.When done, the protector was installed beautifully with no dust or bubbles!

Kind of blurry compared with other screen the same brand
I purchased the initial screen protector from this brand for my iPhone and was extremely satisfied with both the quality and the screen’s clarity. Consequently, I decided to acquire the same protector for my iPad. However, upon applying the protector, I experienced a slight disappointment. While the quality and tactile feel remained impressive, what truly disappointed me was that when I powered on the iPad, the screen appeared somewhat blurry. It still looks decent from an average distance, but in comparison to the sharp clarity of my iPhone, a noticeable disparity is evident. I’m perplexed as to why this is the case.

Så bra produkt, uppfyllde alla förväntningar på ett matt skärmskydd. Perfekt känsla, ipad går nu använda i solljus utan reflektioner, jättelätt att applicera med medföljande ram. Inga bubblor och inget skräp hamnade under.

De instalación fácil ya que lleva 2 toallitas de alcohol para limpiar la pantalla, 1adhesivo que quita los restos de polvo o pelusas que queden y además, añaden dos adhesivos para instalar el protector.Con respecto a la calidad del producto he de decir que cumple al 100×100 y no dificulta para nada la función táctil de la tablet.

Si tratta di una pellicola opaca su supporto in vetro. L’ho acquistata in alternativa a una semplice pellicola in plastica proprio per la protezione in più che offre, rendendola dunque più completa rispetto all’offerta di prodotti come Paperlike. La protezione non è particolarmente difficile da installare senza lasciare bolle di alcun tipo, garantendo un trattamento antiriflesso, evitando di trattenere le impronte, e un feedback con la pencil che si avvicina alla carta nella scrittura. Il compromesso da accettare è una lieve e naturale riduzione della risoluzione, che però rimane assolutamente ottima in iPad, non compromettendone l’uso.Per concludere, si tratta di un acquisito che rispecchia e soddisfa quello che cercavo.
