This item is way better than I hoped for! Every lovercraft horror fan needs this book, it was way more indepth and was more detailed while also not reading a novel for each creature. Best money I’ve spent in a while!

O livro é curto com apenas 126 páginas, mas o suficiente para entreter quem realmente se interessa pelo Cthulhu Mythos. A arte é impecável, 10/10.

The artists in the book really knocked it out of the park for me. The book layout, design, and especially the monsters are wonderfully illustrated. The book itself was designed for anyone interested in the mythos but it isn’t tied to any RPG design. So if you want to use them in Vampire, or Marvel Super Heroes, Boot Hill, Werewolf, Robotech, etc. its all good.

I remember the Peterson’s Field Guide from years ago. I ordered this one because I’ve moved so many times over the years that I can’t find the box it and some of my other Lovecraft/Lovecraftian books are packed in. — The guide’s great.

The book is great, the art is really cool and weird, in a good way. Having visuals and brief descriptions of the horrors are really handy.

One thing I want to make clear, is that this isn’t a monster manual where you get stats of the creatures, this is strictly for visual and information purposes for your player’s characters may find and you use it to help give clues and a physical book for them to read a specific monster.

Great book, and I used it for my chronicles of darkness game, and my players were shocked to see what the horror they were facing.

The book itself is slim so it won’t take up much space on your book shelf.

Excellent art with the classic journalistic approach to catagorizing various beasties, Lovecraftian-style. One of the best monster-manual layouts for an RPG I’ve seen in years. While it doesn’t have hundreds of monsters, the ones included here are very well done with enough narrative around each one that a GM could build an entire scenario for each monster. Highly recommended for Cthulhu enthusiasts or any GM that likes to take players into other dimensions such as Warhammer Fantasy (chaos demons), Black Void RPG, D&D Planescape, and similar RPGs. Any of these monsters would fit those genres.

It’s the Western ‘Classic of Mountains and Seas’! Isn’t this more interesting than fiction?

The ‘Star Spawn of Cthulhu’ is on the page 58, which is also the cover of the book
