it seems I was criticized by my first review on this, When I put it tells what it says on the tin however, which seemed adequate, I very much doubt if any body can give criticism on a review, when they probably havent read the book them selves.
The book gives details on how to draw textures in pencils, which it does, and does very well. there was much more to say than that. People can see the title
Any way It gives very good detail on how to accomplish this. and is very well executed. a good well expressed book.
Mrs. Rosemary A. Hooker –

The book is basically a picture with brief descriptions underneath and for a new guy trying to replicate his realistic effects its very frustrating as I find myself at a loss at how he does it. Probably better suited for an artists who have learned how to texture already. The book does have some nice points to create depth and on shading values amongst others but if you are new like me try something else.

This will be invaluable for my art reference material. I’ve gone out and purchased
a couple of concepts mentioned in this book.
I think it will be one of my TOP ten… of course, that will be up to how I learn
and with this as easy instructional material, I think I’ll be ok.
It is a guide to make my work better… all around
