Ich habe mir dieses Buch neulich bestellt und bin doch sehr zufrieden damit. Es ist ein Zeichenbuch, erklärt werden Techniken für Bleistift, Farbe, und auch digitaler Grafik. Es enthält einige Schritt für Schritt erklärte Projekte zum nachmachen, aber dass war nicht mein Kaufgrund, es ging mir eher zum einen um die Technik, zum anderen ist es eine enorme inspiration, wenn man Zombies malen will aber nicht weiß wie man am besten anfängt. Vom Bildnerischen können her, muss man schon zumindest die Grundlagen des menschen-zeichnens beherschen, um mit dem Buch etwas anfangen zu können, also nichts für blutige Anfänger. Dinge, wie Komposition, Dynamik und Ähnliches werden im manchen Projekten miterklärt bzw. der Hauptfokus liegt darauf. Was ich mir noch gewünscht hätte, wären Abbildingen, von echten Leichen, verrotteten Haut/Fleischpartien und ähnliches, gewesen. ————————————– I recently bought this book, and I am very satisfied with it. The different drawing/painting projects/tutorials are explained step by step, drawing and painting techniques are explained, and some projects are focused on dynamcs, composition contrast etc. (for those who need it) For me the reason to buy it was, that I wanted to draw zombies but didn’t really know how to sart and for this it was really inspiring, and helpful. If you are a beginner this in not for you because you already have to have some painting/drawing skills to use this book.

I have purchased every single book published from the Walter Foster Fantasy Underground Series. I highly recommend these books for anyone interested in Fantasy Artwork. They cover everything from Traditional Art Techniques to Digital.
Clear and concise instruction’s compliment the step by step tutorials and the illustrations contained within the pages of each volume are top notch and performed by some of the top fantasy artist.
I myself refer to these books constantly as reference when creating my next Fantasy Illustration or Airbrush Mural. I really havent found any other books and trust me when I say “I have quite the collection” that cover this type of Artwork in such detail!!
If your into Fantasy Art painting and illustration then you should definatley consider purchasing each and everyone of the books in this series for your reference library as they won’t disapoint!!
