Bought used. Charming book, but had large strain on front and front 20 pages or so.
The book itself is such a good guide on how to draw so much… and adorably. You won’t regret your purchase.

I love this artist, she’s got great style and easy instructions. I try to collect every book she has ever published in English. I hope she writes another one soon.

I guess I’m not very creative for doing it on my own but this book shows you lots of adorable doodle ideas you can use in journaling or whatever. Super cute!

I had been drawing simple cartoons, illustrated short stories for my own entertainment (and sometimes as gifts), and YEARS of holiday greeting cards. I did all that until I had several life changes, including 2 strokes. One of those strokes affected the creativity part of my brain.
All was not lost in my creative world, but it was stalled. This year, I decided to try AGAIN to draw my cartoon characters, and I wanted to make my drawing processes easier if possible.
Kamo’s “How to Doodle Everywhere” to the rescue!
How to Doodle is an excellent way to get started, continue, and even refine existing drawing skills. And it’s all done with very easy steps. Each chapter has an abundance of colorful and simple examples with easy-to-follow descriptions.
This is the resource and encouragement I wish I had had in grade school when I was failing stick figures 101 in grade school art classes!
How to Doodle and I have a commitment: I end each day by spending at least 5 minutes of doodling, following the examples and hints chapter by chapter. I can tell that this practice is already reawakening my drawing skills and creativity. Even my hand writing skills are improving.
One particular gem of a hint: take a deep breath before drawing a straight line and slowly exhale as you draw that line. It really works!!! And not only with straight lines, but also when concentrating on a particular doodle, drawing, or writing exercise. That simple.
And that’s the beauty and power of this book — it’s SIMPLE. Every artist has to start somewhere — this might be your place to start (or reconnect) with the creative gifts within you.

So so many doodles in one book and they’re all CUTE! Easy to draw and remember. Fun to create your own coloring pages or just add to stuff when bored. This really increased my “mental library” of different things to draw and how to simplify them. Was smaller than I thought tho, it’s like a 5x7ish size.
