Purchased as a Christmas present for my boyfriend. The book itself is beautiful, we love seeing the concept art and details that you can’t see well in game. However, the book arrived in a plastic bag, not the plastic wrap that’s standard for the SE books. The pages are gorgeous, everything is great, the item code for the redeemable minion is still in the book, but when we went to register it, it came up as already registered.

I ordered both Stormblood art books at once. One came in shrink wrap, this one did not. The cover has some scuffs and wear, and there is a third party barcode sticker on the back. The item code is still attached in its proper place in the book, but — shocking — it’s already been redeemed. If it’s not in shrink wrap, send it back!
EDITED TO ADD: I received my replacement book and the second shipment was new and sealed as it should be. The book (as with all the FFXIV art books so far) is wonderful whether you are a longtime player or casual fantasy art enthusiast, and any criticism in my review is for myself and everyone else who has been sent used copies when we purchased new.

This product should come sealed in plastic from the manufacturer. If yours is open send it back, I have had it arrive slightly opened and the Minion card in a different location then usual. The minion code said it was already used on SE website so I had to send it back. The book itself is great but I deducted 2 stars because there is no way to know if they sold me a return or if someone stole the code from the warehouse. The only gripe I have about the book itself is the ARR and HW books come with account-wide minions. The rest are character bound. Sort of lame if you play multiple characters like I do.

Product came in a broken sealed package with no seal whatsoever on the book either, resulting in damage to the book’s cover, binding and edges. The digital code inside the book was also previously redeemed and left in the book as if “factory new”. A very disappointing and sketchy experience that I will not do again.

I was really happy to get my art book as I wanna collect them all from FFXIV as I love so much, but after I was trying to put in the code, it says it’s been used already. I’m honestly disappointed about that, and I do want to have the minion too still that goes with the books. So if anyone sees this, please be advised these aren’t new and you’ll most likely not get a new code.

The book is a bit floppy and isn’t a hardcover, which isn’t horrible but it does feel slightly cheap for the steep price, other than that its a really amazing book which has alot of cool artwork from the game and a neat little code for a minion. definitely worth the buy.
