Since the publication of The Art of Rebellion #1 in 2002, the street art genre has exploded into the mainstream. The author, Christian Hundertmark, also known as artist C100, has been inside the scene since day one, which enables him to have first-class info about what’s fresh in the street art world. The focus of this book is not on the ubiquitous stickers and stencils found everywhere today; instead, Hundertmark uses his insider knowledge to carefully curate the selection, showcasing only the most outstanding and engaging work. Street art’s ability to inject wit, whimsy, and social commentary into commonplace urban environments is evident in projects such as a street sign masked with a bright yellow daisy, or a plain white wall with the word “BAD” scrawled across it in bright red script. With more than 200 full color pages, The Art of Rebellion #3 is an unforgettable visual journey through the latest and greatest street art.

Large watermark/stain on the lower section of the book. Some pages were stuck together.

This is a great book and is jam packed with pictures which is really the way it should be. Tit bits of info are also in here. I would have preferred it if it was the same format as the first book but that is a very minor comment really. Recommended.

This book compiles great urban graffiti, advertising, etc. Mostly the ‘art of rebellion’ really. Bought it, loved it. I think it would make a great gift too :]

Ever since feasting my eyes on the second edition of this series, The Art of Rebellion 2: The World of Urban Art Activism (No. 2), I’ve been anxiously awaiting the updated copy. These books are a joy to thumb through if you’re at all remotely interested in the wide world of street art. The pages and their variety seem to be endless as the artists and pages change. A welcomed addition do any artist or designers collection.
