Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to download a file from a shared Dropbox link:

Step 1: Open the Shared Link

1. Click on the shared Dropbox link that you received. This could be via email, message, or other platforms. OR Open the web browser on your computer or mobile device. Copy the shared Dropbox link provided to you and paste it into the browser’s address bar, then press Enter. Make sure you have copied the full link
2. The link will open a web page displaying the file or folder shared with you.

Step 2: View the File or Folder

Once the link opens, you’ll see a preview of the shared file or folder.

• If it’s a file, you may see a preview depending on the file type (e.g., images, PDFs, etc.).
• If it’s a folder, you’ll see a list of files inside it.
• Confirm that it is the file you want to download.

Step 3: Click the Download Button

For a Single File:

• Look for the Download button on the top-right corner of the page or near the file preview. It might appear as a downward arrow or as a “Download” option.

For a Folder:

• Click the Download button and choose the option to download as a ZIP file.

Step 4: Choose Your Download Option

1. Single File: Clicking the download button will begin the download immediately.
2. Folder: If the shared item is a folder, Dropbox will compress it into a .zip file before downloading.

Step 5: Save the File

1. A pop-up will appear asking where to save the file.
2. Choose the location on your computer or device and click Save.

Step 6: Extract (if a folder was downloaded)

1. If you downloaded a folder, navigate to its saved location.
