My 6th Gen iPad Mini thinks it’s a real Apple Pencil
The first time I turned it on my iPad immediately recognized it and started giving me tips on what I can do with my “Apple Pencil”. I love that it magnetically attaches to the side like the real ones and it works even with my case on. I’m using a glass screen protector and it’s still perfect. The palm detection works really well too. I haven’t had to charge it after a few days of using it so the battery life is definitely good. It also comes with extra tips and a USB C cable to charge it. It’s a really good substitute and I love that I saved a ton of money. Just buy it.

It does not work with the calligraphy tool on Procreate.
It works really well in comparison to the apple pen. I bought it to design some stickers on procreate, and soon realized the calligraphy tool will not work with this pen. Everything else is great though! I’m absolutely impressed!

Good pen with annoying quirk, this is NOT the same as an Apple Pen – it’s a scaled down version
First, this does not work like the $124 Apple Pen. There is no bluetooth, no pairing. The instructions supplied with the pen does not show how to make the pen work with the iPad. Had to watch 2 videos to figure this out. Also there are clarifying instructions on the product page, near the end of the description.This pen writes well when it is used. However, there is an annoying quirk that it shuts off unexpectedly. Time and time again, I’d be writing and find that the pen is no longer responding. Looking down at the power indicator light, I find it has shut itself off and I KNOW I have not touched the on/off switch.Also the “eraser end” of the pen is a touch-sensitive on/off switch. It can be activated by light graze on any part of you, like your face or chest and even through layers of clothing. The power switch is activated, usually from ON to OFF. This also gets lumped into the annoyance of shutting off while in use.The pen charges through USB-C connection – it does not charge through the iPad at all like the Apple Pen does.Apart from that, the pen glides nicely across the protective screen of my iPad, although it has some difficulty “writing” on certain parts of the screen. Works well with iPad’s Note app, as well as Notability app, although it does not have any pressure-sensitive feature. There’s no “tapping” the pen to change the brush-type; you’ll have to explicitly click on the controls to erase, change brush and sizes, etc. The magnetic capture feature does seem to work well.Good pen for the price, but again, it is no Apple Pen which has much more features than this does. If this unexpected shutoff issue continues, I will be sending this pen back and get the proper pen for the iPad.
