Not a tutorial, but a solid explanation of every feature in Procreate. Youâre equipped to explore, but your hand isnât held.

Good instructions
I would have given 5 stars, but after I started reading the book, some of the pages started to fall out.The instructions are very good, but the pages falling out is irritating.The book is great though.

Uses a lot of unnecessary words
I just started this book, and it seems like the author is either trying to impress the reader, or simply fill more pages with lots of extra words. Example: âHowever with the technological presence now even more domineering than we have had, the advent of technology has transformed the way visual arts are created. Procreate is not far from this breakthrough either, in terms of how it has helped artists conform to the realities of transformative technology for creative arts.â ð¤¨Iâm on page 8, and have also found several typographical or grammatical errors. I am going to try to return the book.

As a manual, it’s not bad. But the folks at Procreate have already produced a comprehensive one festooned with compelling examples.

Great as a manual but doesnât actually teach how to paint in Procreate
This title is available for reading through Kindle Unlimited and thatâs the only way Iâd suggest it. Itâs a little bit better at the manual type of details than 3D Total Publishingâs first Procreate book attempt; âBeginner’s Guide to Digital Painting in Procreate: How to Create Art on an iPadâ which at least includes a tiny bit of painting information but not enough to recommend purchasing and Iâd return it if I could be bothered to take the time. Thatâs the big problem which art books. Many claim to teach something but little actually do so in any true genuine attempt and therefore end up being another attempt at cashing in through labelling book title and description showing up in the search for an hopeful buyer to purchase. During a time when Procreate App books are still niche, itâs slim pickins. Hopefully 3D Totalâs recent Procreate book releases actually teach how to pain in the app but Iâm too sore to try buying another. At least you can read this title here for âfreeâ at this time with Kindle Unlimited. I canât believe the price 3D Totalâs 2020 Book: âBeginner’s Guide to Digital Painting in Procreate: How to Create Art on an iPadâ is still selling at the time of this review.
