Had to get this, Splatoon 2 is life. Super good quality, the book itself is almost 1-1/2 inches thick, the pages are thick to where you won’t worry about ripping it too easily and the hardcover is crisp, sturdy, and beautiful. The art inside has a bit of everything, weapon art, gear art, level art, and everything in between, colors are bright and look great. I’m an artist so seeing all this amazing art inspires me and it’s just super interesting to see the Splatoon 2 artist’s process. The quality is amazing considering the price is only $25, it’s a MUST HAVE if you love everything Splatoon. 🦑🐙

Conosco la casa editrice “Dark Horse” solo per la sua collana di “The art of” dove collezionano illustrazioni e note di vari videogiochi, e ADORO questa collana!
Premetto infatti che non è il primo “The Art of” che prendo, ma questo di Splatoon è forse tra i miei preferiti assieme a quello di Overwatch, a causa dei contenuti, commenti, bozze e concept art presente in entrambi.
Purtroppo il primo artbook di Splatoon lo ho in giapponese, il quale ha un formato totalmente diverso (più piccolo, per altro) e penso che per puro autismo, in futuro, recupererò anche “The art of Splatoon 1”, perché per quanto in genere io preferisca le versioni “native” degli artbook, la dark horse ha fatto un lavoro davvero maestoso qui e merita tutto il supporto necessario per fare continuare questa collana.
Ottima rilegatura, ottimo formato, ottima presentazione, lo amo!

I really love it. Especially the team blue manga. I even read the manga. Makes me wish I was Goggles. Also I hope you make Splatoon 3. And also there is someone working on project Splatoon 3 on attestation. You should hire him, maybe even take insperation. But plz add his ideas as the game. And even add manga characters. And don’t take insperation from anyone else cuz it’s probably garbage. I’m not kidding. But overall please add a Splatoon 3 and make more manga.

Beim ankommen war zwar die Folie an 2 Stellen leicht eingerissen, aber das Buch hat nichts abbekommen. Habe direct heute die ersten 65 Seiten gelesen, und finde es großartig. Mann erfährt interessante Dinge von dem kreative Team, und es sind sehr viele shöne Illustrationen drin. Ebenfalls alles sehr hochwertig, aber bei den Machern verwundert es mich auch nicht.

It is true the book is pretty expensive, but it holds 390 pages of extra condensed concept arts, early concept, extra infos and high quality.
Clearly those who made the book have been extra generous and it shows off how incredibly rich the Splatoon franchise is.
This is a must have for Splatoon fans and rookie game designers alike.

I really like Splatoon and Splatoon 2. I had picked up the Splatoon artbook and was so happy with it that when I saw the Splatoon 2 artbook I had to pre-order it.
So it’s an art book. That’s it. But it’s a BIG art book. This thing is big and heavy. It’s a hard cover coffee table book. The artwork in it is great. It covers all types of designs of characters, weapons, stages, clothing etc… It’s nice to just look at it and see all the work that went into this game.
Should you pick this up? 1) If you like Splatoon = Yes 2) If you like artbooks = Yes

At first I was not pleased that this was the item that was at the top of my sons xmas list. Beings it was just a book yet cost $30. However after receiving it and seeing the size and quality I was a little less stressed over the cost. Although $30 in my opinion is still a bit pricey it is a bigger book, hard cover, thick and excellent quality. My son was thrilled!
