Wie alle MCU-Artbooks kommt auch dieses in einem stabilen, schönen Schuber. Vorrangig erwarten den Leser großformatige, künstlerisch sehr gute Artworks mit wenigen neuen Überraschungen. Es sind tolle Arbeiten von den Filmszenen und Figuren, aber das Visual Development kommt mir ein klein wenig zu kurz. Ich mag Artbooks gerade dann, wenn sie mir zeigen, wie sich Dinge im Prozess verändert haben, den Skizzencharm, bevor es diese herausragenden Bilder werden. Insgesamt aber eine sehr gute Arbeit, ein fester Einband und der wirklich tolle Schuber. Klare Kaufempfehlung für Fans des Films!

C’est un superbe bouquin de 255 pages, écrit en Anglais, qui nous a été concocté par l’éditeur, qui débute par une préface de Jon WATTS, le réalisateur du film. Les concept arts sont magnifiques, que ce soit ceux de Ryan MEINERDING, l’artiste principal, ou bien des autres peintres, on ne peut être qu’en admiration devant de tels talents. Les multiples versions des costumes de Spider-Man sont bien sûr à l’honneur, avec certains de ses accessoires comme le lance-toile, mais aussi le design pour le Vautour, avec toutes ses armes. On y découvre également quelques photos originales du film, ainsi qu’une postface de Ryan MEINERDING, qui sert de conclusion. Un bien bel objet, protégé par un coffret très solide, dont les couvertures peintes subliment le travail effectué. Les détails abondent, nous plaçant au cœur de la production Marvel. Un must have pour les fans de Spider-Man.

First book I’ve purchased from Marvel’s “The Art of the Movie” series. Every aspect of this collector’s book felt made with care and passion for the project. Reading through it gave me an understanding for what was going through the minds of the creators when they were tasked with creating a fresh new Spidey for the MCU. My favorite part was the extensive amount of Spider-Man suit concepts that didn’t make the cut. Really interesting. The book made me want to watch the movie again. This will not be the last Marvel art book I purchase.
