I just received Daneille’s book and looked through it cover to cover. What a marvellous book, full of delightful images, great ideas and tips on how to dip into watercolour without being intimidated. The author combines technique with whimsy and a very sweet sense of humour. I highly recommend her book, the instructions are easy to follow. I love the layout/design of the book that is so logical that you feel like you are being lead on a lovely creative path.
I’m so glad I ordered this book.

I heard a review from a fellow watercolourist on YouTube who raved about this book, and so I trusted their opinion and bought myself a copy. Here is my personal experience.

I find myself reading sections at minimum two or three times before proceeding with the exercises. I want to fully understand exactly what the authouress is saying . I find the exercises challenging and that is exactly what I want.

From these exercises, my knowledge and technique is vastly improving. If you want simple feel good lessons and exercises just for distraction this is not the book for you. If you want to actually learn something through practice and to ultimately be good at what you are doing, this is the book for you! Seriously without hesitation. I am enjoying this book and sincerely happy I bought it.

Ok now back to my exercises!

I have just received my eagerly anticipated book and was not disappointed. In fact I was more than overjoyed. Danielle is amazing at sharing her tips, techniques and inspiration. She gives more than your average artist. In fact above and beyond. There is masses of inspiration in this book. She probably could have made 3 books out of this but is very ‘giving’ with her sharing of her art. So in essence it is an amazing value book, beautiful whimsical illustrations, colour on EVERY page, includes lots of step by step projects. I really couldn’t have asked for more.

I used to paint with water colour many years ago, so I’m very rusty. I was looking for a book that inspired as well as taught and this is it. Beautifully presented, gorgeous artwork and colour use and suitable for just about anyone wanting to learn or improve their skills. I’ve been waiting for the right book to come along for a long long time and this is it, so a very big thank you to this author and artist!

I haven’t finished reading the book but I am already giving it 5 stars because the content is really helpful for me. The paper used for the book is great. The images are printed well and the physical quality of the book is very good! The content based on reading halfway through it is amazing.

I find this is a good compliment to another watercolour book I’m reading and does have some useful advice here and there but for me personally I find the book itself has a lot of “this works for me so you should do it this way” sort of commentary instead of offering advice or facts on what does or doesn’t work with this painting media or offering their experience & preferences as a guide or alternative for other painters looking to learn…personally I found this particular book quite rigid in its views on how watercolour is to be taught & done. It’s an alright read if that’s what one is looking for though and can be nice to see through some of the ideas presented in here but all in all I would have went with another book for learning as a beginner myself…bt perhaps someone else would enjoy her style more. I give this 4 stars still though because there are a few techniques she does that we’re new to me that I enjoyed as well.
