I have loved St. Fighter since it came out in the early 90’s. Every page of this book has beautifull pictures of the characters. Almost every one is done in a different art style which makes them interesting. Most of the art was computer generated but there are a few that look like they were done in oil, acrylic and pencil. I would have liked if there were more but the CG stuff is striking regardless. Great coffee table art. I highly recommend.

I always love seeing what others have to draw as their interpretation of what Street Fighter means to them. I give them kudos for putting so much time and effort to a complete collection of awesome artwork!

I love these tribute books. Do not hesitate on this because there isn’t art by Street Fighter alumni in here. This thing is filled with art by professionals and a few amateurs but they are all exceptionally talented. Many of them are animators or concept artists. Some of them actually do have Street Fighter experience and work at Udon.
What really makes this book shine is the variety of styles and concepts. Every piece is something you can look at and think about for a while, musing over the techniques used or what the artist was trying to convey or just delighting in the piece.
Another treat is every couple of pages there is an anecdote by the applicable artist about his/her experiences with street fighter in the past. Many of these bring back fond memories to the days when Street Fighter 2 dominated the arcade scene.
You don’t need to be a Street Fighter fan to adore this eclectic collection, but it helps.

I bought this for a friend who loved art and Street Fighter, and he loved it!
This is a 300 page artbook packed with different contributors from around the world.
This is a MUST for Street Fighter fans, and the price (with Amazon Prime) is totally worth it.

Udon produces a lot of Street Fighter and Capcom media especially artbooks.
This one is unique as it is made from the contributions of many different artists around the world that have grown up loving Street Fighter. A varied mix of artstyles and artist with their own spin on the world warriors.
I loved going through this book and seeing the some of my favourite artists pop up in the book. They’ve even included links to their portfolios or social media so you can follow any artists that catch your eye.

If you’re looking for some old school Capcom artist stables like Kinu Nishimura or Bengus then check out SF25, for Udon’s in-house artists it’ll be the Art of Capcom series but for Zangief drawn by Gabe from Penny Arcade or Ibuki and Makoto enjoying an ice cream by Bryan Lee O’Malley (Scott Pilgrim, SnotGirl) and other amazing artists then this is the book for you

Few video game franchises have both the history and relevance of Street Fighter today. It’s truly timeless, with so many incarnation sparking so many different emotions for so many different people.

This book captures that feeling perfectly. It’s a blend of gorgeous artwork and raw emotion. Some of the artists clearly have a passion for Street Fighter and most have very strong nostalgia for the series.

This is perfect for anyone’s library or coffee table. And if you’re any kind of Street Fighter fan, you owe it to yourself to snag a copy.

The media could not be loaded.

This book is actually much better than I thought. Probably because I’m looking at them in full size instead of the small web images I found on the Internet.

It has a very satisfying thickness at 320 pages. The dust jacket is smooth, nice to touch, non-glossy over a soft cover. The paper stock is thick matte and the colour reproduction is wonderful.

Hundreds of artists have come together to contribute Street Fighter art for the book. As a result, the variety in terms of style is amazing. Some of the styles included are manga, realistic caricature, chibi, game art, vector and many other.

I’ve read of artists who blogged about their work being rejected. I can understand why because the quality of artwork in this book is very high.

UDON has also allowed artists to promote their work on their individual blogs. Over the past few months, I’ve seen a lot of artists blogging about their art and the book. It’s really great to finally see the book in print.

This art book belongs to the you-can-enjoy-it-even-if-you’re-not-a-Street-Fighter-fan category.

It’s well worth every single cent I spent, and I’m not a Street Fighter fan.

First of all, this book exceeded my expectations. Not that my expectations were low, I just wasn’t prepared for the caliber of artistic talent that this book contains. Although most of the works are fan art, many of the artists are professionals, including comic book artists, painters, anime artists, and graphic designers.

One of the first things I noticed upon skimming through the pages was the wide range of styles. Some of the art is incredibly realistic while others are cartoonish and funny. Whichever the style, every piece is incredible and uniquely its own.

Another nice touch is the occasional passage written by an artist. These passages usually involve the artist explaining his/her connection to Street Fighter and how the game and/or the art has influenced his/her life.

This book is a great gift for fans of the Street Fighter videogames. However, even someone unacquainted with SF can enjoy it. Hats off to Udon and the great artists that brought this book together. This will be on my coffee table for a while!

Usual UDON goodness! UDON makes the best anime/video game books out there and this is full of Street Fighter eye candy. Thick book and well worth every penny.
