This book is not only for “painters” but for all types of creative individuals who want to experience and play with watercolor, whether their background is mixed-media, textile art, journaling, or paper craft. Unlike the typical watercolor text books, this unique, beautiful volume is a field book of inspiration, creative ideas, how to’s, and projects, all from an artist’s perspective. Each creative exercise features a technique, shows step-by-step photographs, and includes a clever idea for a gift or project that can be made from the painted samples.

I happened to see this book at the Tate Modern Museum in London. This is one of the most readable art books I’ve found on this subject. All instructions are clear and concise. I am thoroughly enjoying the exercises. This has been the book that got me to sit down and try watercolor. I am new to this and sometimes intimidated by other books I’ve explored. I am not disappointed. Loving it.

This book is good for beginners and advanced watercolor users alike. It has some really nice exercises to explore new techniques. The only slightly bad thing I have to say is I wish I would have actually bought the book instead of the kindle version.

Un libro de técnicas con explicaciones básicas, funcionales y sencillas en su primera parte. Los proyectos que ofrece en la segunda parte pueden ponerse en práctica sin dificultad, con bonitos y originales resultados.

Seems to be a good book, but the Kindle version is absolutely terrible. The artwork and photos are too small on the screen. Wish i had purchased the hard copy instead.

Wonderful book, inspireing, and unpretentious.
