Empfohlen.

Im personally familiar with Gerald Brom’s work so I knew exactly what to expect and it made this purchase ten times more sweet to me. I love his work and not because I like dark and sinister looking work but because his talent is amazing. Each detail is beautiful and all his work is done from sketches and built up from there. What I would call true and amazing art unlike stuff being copied and pasted and slapped together on a computer. It takes real talent to imagine it, draw it from a pencil, and build it up from paint. His stuff is amazing and I love his work. Been familiar with it when I was younger and so happy that now I was able to purchase it and have it for my own keepsake.

Awesome beyond belief! Great artwork, Brom never fails to satisfy! The book came via third party — burgettbooks — and was wrapped so good that I had to use a blowtorch and a tire iron to open it, but OH what perfect pleasures awaited inside! The book was in immaculate condition and I performed my happy dance before gobbling up the DELICIOUS morsels within. BUY THIS BOOK!

A very pleasurable collection of work from the noted fantasy artist, published in 2001.
There is little in the way of informative text in the book, the majority of it’s pages are taken up with some 100 glossy, full-colour illustrations of the artists work; Bron works with traditional materials, though no details of media or dimensions are given – not even a directory or index at the back – though it’s safe to assume most are painted with oils on board (either hardboard, illustration board or prepared canvas panel).
A smattering of pencil sketches are also included – preparation works and concept figures.
A good visual reference to have on the artist, though how it compares with other, more recent volumes I cannot comment; I’m certainly pleased with it, having owned it since 2013 – it’s a volume I look through often.
The “Look inside” option give a fair idea of content – check the list of artworks on the first pages.

What a dark pit it was that spewed forth Brom, and how incredibly lucky we are that it did. The devilish visions swirling smoke covered on these pages are frightening, wonderful. Just what the doctor ordered, to shake loose those cold, hardened embers. This artist is eating spiders for lunch washed down with a gulp of torment, yikes. Keep it up Brom, we’re waiting for the next one. I would like to see Brom illustrate or write, heck, do both a monstrous Halloween tale.
