Which is where that Sarah Simblett photo-anatomy book falls down: photographs just impinge on the brain in a way different from drawings; a way that is inimical to good painting, in my book at least.

I purchased this book hoping to find a compendium of technical anatomical images for reference. I did not. There were very few images and the editor apparently did not catch all spelling errors. I would not recommend purchase of this book as a drawing reference.
