Interesting. A little more explanation than I expected and a little less examples, but it’s quite nice

This book has beautiful illustrations and is really well written with many styles of illustrated maps. I am inspired to illustrate my own maps of our land.

Creative but practical. A book every skill level can use. Some art books have examples that are way too complicated or require a higher level of skill than new artists have. I’ve always loved maps and it’s nice to have a variety of ideas to add to your artwork

This is okay for kindle but it’s harder to skim it.
I got it on Kindle due to the low price and think it’s better if I’d have gotten it as a physical book.
Haven’t read but a small part of it but think I’ll get something from it eventually.

A great book! It was perfect for use with my elementary students and our study on maps.

The content is really interesting here, but it’s quite text-heavy and the text is a light grey, barely contrasting with the page. If you have younger eyes than mine this might not bother you. For me, I had to give up trying to read the text and just enjoyed the images. It’s much more the fault of the publisher than the author, but be forewarned: if you struggle with light-color text, this book will be a challenge for you.

This is a wonderful book!! It includes examples of many different types of maps, along with detailed instructions on how to create your own maps. The graphics are beautiful, and the book is very informative! I especially like that different artists are interviewed in the book, and they give valuable tips to help readers create their own hand-drawn maps. I highly recommend this book! Please mark if you find my review helpful. Thank you so much!

I work in clay and draw inspiration from artists in other mediums. This book is wonderful, the previous review sums it up well. I also plan to bring it and a few art supplies on an upcoming trip to New Orleans, and see what my maps kids create using these ideas
