It’s very in depth and detailed, it’s god nearly impossible to find serious manga and anime art tutorials that actually give the person what they actually need to improve their art. This is very valuable information for anybody interested in drawing manga/anime in general. Most of this stuff I never knew because of language barrier. 126 pages of actually helpful material, it’s not just pretty pictures and words like most how to books. It shows incorrect and correct examples to give the artist an idea of what to do and not to do. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in drawing manga or anime characters in general, but doesn’t know Japanese or live in Japan.

I can’t wait to indulge into this book, after having a quick flick through, it’s just what I needed. It covers basic lighting/shadowing (tone), where it should be places when in certain lightings of the face and body. It also covers movement of the body, it’s great because my illustrations were looking flat. It covers that little extra step that most anatomy books don’t, expression in the body and the movement.
Although I’m not a manga artist, I always refer to these manga books because they are well explained through the illustrations, I think these series of books are a must for people at all levels of drawing, it’s always good to refer back to for reference.
~ also my seller posted a little gift with mine which was dead cute of them to do so, thank you 🙂
