Dorr has help show me a different perspective for shooting engagement shoots. She shows many ways to turn a shoots into an art piece while maintaining the focus of the engagement shot. She also gives some excellent tips on shooting traditional engagement sessions. This happens to be the second book I have bought by Dorr and I enjoy her easy way of writing. Her words stick with you and I already seen myself doing different things in my engagement shoots.

Tous les ouvrages de cet éditeur sont intéressants, j’en possède un certain nombre qui m’ont vraiment appris les techniques photographiques appliquées au mariage.
Cela dit, il est quand même regrettable qu’en France la photographie de mariage soit considérée comme un sous-produit, que les Impôts vous considèrent comme un prestataire et que la littérature technique soit si nulle. On dira ce qu’on voudra des anglo-saxons, et en particulier des Amerloques, mais pour ce qui concerne la photo de mariage, c’est véritablement un métier d’art.
Encore une fois, très bon ouvrage.

This is a great book that has many useful, high-quality images. I never really considered engagement photographs for my wife and I, and now I regret it! Dorr does a great job of taking the reader through the basics of photographing this subject, but also how to treat clients, and where you can grow your business. This is an enjoyable read and a wise investment for wedding photographers.
