All good artists need to have a full understanding of the structure of the body. Indeed, for leading artists, such as Leonardo da Vinci, it was of paramount importance. This practical guide provides all the information that would-be artists need to begin their study of the human form: from the composition of the skeletal form to musculature and proportion, Drawing Anatomy takes the artist on a journey to discovering the amazing creation that is the human body, and in doing so, helps the artist to develop all the skills required to portray every limb, pose and facial expression to the best of their ability. Written by one of the world’s leading art instructors. Contains detailed drawings of skeletal and musculature composition with comprehensive annotation.

I’m a prefessional artist and have piece’s in a museum and in galleries. Ive never found a book with such great Cross hatching reference’s for anatomy for more advanced artists. If you’re into crosshatch drawing of human anatomy i highly recommend this book. Ive the ebook version as i find that physical books get ruined or lost in fires, and moves. The kindle version is much easier to understand and use as visual reference guide and to do practice Sketches from. That’s just Imo at least. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

I thought I couldn’t draw people until I got this book and started looking more at the anatomy of people. Makes it so much easier to remember based on medical landmarks! I’ve seen artists, seamstresses. and medical professionals alike excel with this book.
