I’m so glad I found this! I’m so glad this exists! I was so scared it wouldn’t, and screenshots in game just wouldn’t do all the artwork justice. After playing the game I searched high and low for a high res version of the playground graffiti art and finally found it in this book (and on Talexi’s artstation).
Alessandro Taini (“Talexi”) has become my absolute favorite artist ever since I played Senua’s Sacrifice and got super interested in Ninja Theory, the developer for this particular game (Capcom is the publisher/copyright owner/big boss~).
I’d never played a Devil May Cry game before and I read all about the controversy regarding this game, but… it’s Ninja Theory. Ninja Theory entails:
1. Style 2. Good gameplay 3. Overall game quality 4. Did I mention style? AAA graphics from an indie studio, and their LIGHTING/COLOR schemes, level design… man. Just take a look at the artwork for this game. I am a total Talexi/Ninja Theory fan girl.
Anyways.
Buy this book if you enjoyed the game and the in-game artwork. You won’t regret it.
I’m off to play Devil May Cry 5!

I love the artwork in this artbook. Capcom did amazing job in backgrounds. If you love cool background and haunting looking scenery and some cool character designs buy it.
By what I wrote for the title, what I mean to imply is that this art book is an excellent means to appreciate all the choices the designers chose for the final product as well as what didn’t make it into the game, all without having to unlock it in the game.
A good deal of the book cover the design steps of Dante which there are an abundance of, a brief look at the supporting cast and the rest of the book is a vast collection of the demon designs.
All the demon pages are filled to the brim with brainstorming stages to compare to the final product as well as many pages of demons that couldn’t be put into the final game.
So all in all I would recommend this as a strong buy.

２週間ほどで届きました。
海外からだったので特別感と期待感が半端なかったです。
なんでこれ買いたかったのかっていうと本作のゲームの方でも少し公開されているのですが、アートボードが素晴らしかったから。一貫したテイストや雰囲気をもっていて、色彩が何より好きでした。
内容はキャラクターデザインを模索していたデザイン画がとても印象的だったのですが、それをするならこういう過程を踏んで結果こうなりましたよっていう構成だったらより楽しかったのになぁと思いました。（買う人は基本主人公は知っているわけですから）
ただただ眺めるのが好きなのでよかったです。文もほとんどないので英語力の心配はいらないです。
