I am generally pleased with this reference in that it has given me valuable insight into some of the inner workings of Krita. Krita 3.0 is the current version I am working with now and this ebook refers to version 2.9. I do not know if there is a radical difference between the two version. Soon, I will find out upon further reading. Seeing that Krita is a free software, I do not expect to see a whole lot of references. The online manual on Krita’s website is difficult to discern and I am glad that someone made an effort to bring some explanations to Krita users

Sadly, this the one good instructional book for learning the Krita free painting tool. Sad because this is for Krita version 2.9 and as of this writing Krita is at version 5.2 so much of this book’s content is now obsolete. Furthermore, the author Scott Petrovic has indicated that he is not interested in writing a new edition as he has moved on to different things.

Sehr gutes Buch zum kostenlosen Grafik Programm Krita. Ist auch auf Englisch gut zu verstehen, meine Tochter ist in der achten klasse und kommt sehr gut damit zurecht und hatte schon viele Erfolge, sogar die ersten Bilder sind durch die tollen Tipps schon richtig gut geworden und machen dann natürlich Lust, sich weiter zu verbessern. Absolut empfehlenswert!
