I’ve recently got into dmc series after buying a ps2! I’ve been quite curious on how the designs for different things in game are made and this book answered that! It goes into detail about weapons and the enemy designs too! As an artist I wanted to see the different design processes and rough sketches of these aswell as the thought processes to study from, if that’s what youre looking for and you love the game series I recommend this book! I’m looking forward to playing dmc5 now!

As a fan of the Devil May Cry series, I was eagerly awaiting my copy of Devil May Cry 5: Official Artworks. It didn’t disappoint, as I saw many of the beta designs that led to what we got in DMC 5, and some of the ideas behind them. I’m a Dante guy first and foremost, so it was cool to see how they went with a more muted look (which is my favorite despite being not as flashy as some of his previous designs) to show his age, while feature how certain small accents shows he still has some flair in his outfit in his older age. I recommend this to any DMC fan, in particular those who are into what went into the costume and aesthetic design for the game.
