I like the content of the book, as it explains themes easily. There is comment from customer (Bernard P) where he states that author incorrectly refers to ‘subtractive model’ ( on p.10). And in fact, it is “additive model’. It confuses readers, as the author of book didn’t make mistake and in fact, subtractive model is rightly referred (it is not only for CMYK). The additive model is in place (refer to p. 41). Hope it will clarify things to other reader, as I first didn’t want to purchase the book where some incorrections exists, and that comment made me doubt whether It is worth to buy the book, now I see that no mistakes were made by author of the book.

For a book on Color Fundamentals in design, the quality of the print is poor, so though the content is useful, unsure that the color examples are dependable.

I really love the book….but on page 10 it refers to an red, yellow, and blue color model as a “Subtractive Model” when it is the “Additive Model”.
I love Ms. Sherin’s use of examples to support the material that is being presented.

this book, is one of the most complete books that i ever read, because in it , you re going to find all kind of useful fundamentals about, design, color, composition, color theory and how to used.
i use this book for inspiration too, because it has a lot of examples of how to implement the theory, based on the work of a lot of good designers arround the world.

this book was required for one of my graphic design classes and I ended up loving it. Color theory is explained nearly from scratch so anyone can understand it from the basics. Will keep it as a guide for my future.

Amazing book! This is the book you want for graphic design. I have learned so much and I’m only half way through. Lots of necessary fundamentals that you’ll need.

Perhaps its just my copy. Im pretty sensitive to color but the ink printing (in this soft covered book) seem to be a little off. For example, the blue didn’t look blue… it was more of a purple, the red violet is maroon, the red is a red orange, the blue green looked violet…etc. Majority of the visuals threw me off. Aside from this, the facts are all there and it was a good read.
