The book is wonderful but…. the kindle edition is terrible. You can’t see the lines for the drawings and it is missing parts of the demos. I had to keep going back and forth to see if it was me but it is the kindle edition. I was painting a demo for “Painting a Velvety Surface with LIquid Acrylics and it gave me step 1 and step 2 and then step 3 was for a totally different flower. So not only did it just cut off all of the steps for what I was trying to paint it left off the first 2 steps for the other flower. It was like that through the whole edition on and off. Like I said you couldn’t even see the line drawings no matter how bright or dark you put the kindle at and then it skipped around so much it was just frustrating. I am getting a refund for the Kindle edition and buying a “real” book for this edition. Art books are really better in “book” form. only some have been satisfactory on my Kindle. I paint and draw alot so I buy many books. Some on Kindle but after this it will only be in book format for art books.

This book is for someone who has already gotten a grounding in watercolor. That was not my situation when I bought it, and that plus the misleading writeup is why I gave it four stars rather than five. It does have a lot of nice illustrations and plenty of information on tricky stuff like how to underpaint shadows, make realistic-looking dewdrops, etc. Once I get some experience in the basics of watercolor painting it will be a great resource.

Je ne sais pas à qui s’adresse ce livre. cela n’aidera pas un débutant et les artistes expérimentés ne trouveront rien de révolutionnaire. les illustrations sont jolies alors peut-être qu’elles peuvent être utilisées comme source d’inspiration pour trouver un bon tutoriel sur internet.
