Tons of references if you’re an artist

Not bad little book to introduce Nouveau. Good for getting to know about it.

This book has no content whatsoever to anyone who is actually interested in art or art nouveau. It is a bunch of pictures of contemporary designs, but anyone wishing to actually learn anything about art is out of luck. It contains no useful information whatsoever.

Awesome reference book to innovate new art projects.

Beautiful reference. Lots of large full page colour images with little text. Has a wide variety of prints, patterns and texts. Perfect reference for artists

So much in the book.

So many beautiful pictures, so many patterns and designs, its heaven for any artist.
The quality of the pages are smooth, bright and even though its a soft cover the pages are still sturdy. I have another soft cover book that is just flimsy and doesnt feel good in my hands, but THIS is made to last for a long long time, I am extremely happy with this and can only recommend it to anyone who is looking for pretty designs.

In the Kindle PC app, the cover is the full height of my monitor. The images in the rest of the book are about half the height (and proportionally narrower width) of my monitor. Since some pages have multiple images, some of these images end up being about an inch tall on my 30 inch monitor.

Wanted more in this book, especially for something that calls itself “Essential”. A good intro overview though. Would’ve loved descriptions on differences in cultural variations on this style.

This is a lovely book. The beautiful photographs and close-up detailing complement the well written text. This book is a pleasure.

Love this book, full of exquisite colour examples of Art Noveau design.

Great collection of designers. Thank you, the book introduced me to some artists I hadn’t heard of before.

Not only is this not a good reference book it is by no means definitive as purports to be. Very low budget with very little scholarly writing.
