I could never have enough time to crochet. If I only completed one project out of every book and magazine I own on this subject, I’d still have to live another hundred years or more.
That being said, this book contains a lot of great patterns, especially for the novice crafter.
The color schemes used in the book are a bit outdated, in my opinion, but that has more to do with fashion than the quality of the book itself.

I love this bookl. Each page had a full size picture of an afghan in an appropriate setting. The Material list included what yarns were used in the photographed afghan, usually Red Heart Super saver (and not specialty yarns.) The paper in the pages is heavy duty, quality stock. Most patterns are given on one page. Both knot and crochet patterns are included. I have many afghan pattern books and this is absolutely the best.
I usually flag patterns that I want to make immediately and I have about 50 flags in this book.I make afghans for hospice patients and I enjoy learning new patterns.

Got this book at the library. It had so many great afghans that I liked, I had to buy it. There is something for everyone in here. I challenge any hard-core crocheter or knitter to NOT find more than 1 pattern that they are dying to try.
And Amazon had a paperback version that with a $5.00 coupon I had, I was able to get the book for less than $10.00 (and that includes shipping and handling).
