手の描き方の本は何冊も持っていますが、こちらは美術解剖学の本なだけあって、骨・肉・関節がかなり詳細で良かったです。
全身の美術解剖学の本だと手足にはそこまでページは割いていないし、手の描き方の本だと著者の技法が多いのでここまで解剖学的な図もないので本書はちょうどよいと思います。
色分けもされており、感覚的にざっくりしたパーツに分けて見やすいのも良かった。
個人的に特に素晴らしいのは後半の作例集。
現実の手足から線と影を抽出したような形で、それぞれ若干の個性はありつつもかなりフラットな作例なので、自分ならこうデフォルメしたいというのを考えながら描きやすい。
〇〇さんの描き方という内容が主軸だとそちらのデフォルメ具合に引っ張られるので、時にはこういう美術解剖学の本も大事だなと改めて思った。
手持ちの手(足)の描き方の本の中では一番模写してるし愛読してます。
